Beyond the Pharmacy Counter

I’m Mary Sheehan Registered Pharmacist and Modern Medicine Woman. Although prescription medications can be incredible tools for overcoming anxiety and depression they aren’t the be all end all for restoring health and happiness. 

In this series:

  • I’ll challenge popular misconceptions about the role of antidepressants so that you can see what possible solutions exist beyond the pill bottle.
  • Show that healing is a process and not a destination. Although there is no magic pill that fixes everything, you can still find joy and happiness.
  • Offer practical strategies and solutions to help you sleeps better, wake up ready to take on the day, enjoy great relationships, and be excited by life. 

If you’re tired of being told that you have to take a pill in order to cope with your life. If you feel that you not being listened to at your doctor’s office, or if you’ve been taking medication for years and you’re still depressed or anxious, then you’re going to get a lot out of this series.

I’m going to explain and explore the root causes of why you’re feeling anxious and depressed and offer common-sense strategies that come from my 30 years of experience in traditional and alternative medicine.
